Chair of WEAD- Women Eco Artists Dialog, weadartists.org, supporting and raising the
voices of women working on  social justice and  environmental art projects.

National College of Art and Design (NCAD), Fulbright Scholar and Graduate Seminar Facilitator, Dublin, Ireland
Co-taught with Caroline Madden two semester graduate seminar. Acted as Tutor Committee Member  for NCAD M.A. students. In collaboration with the Crafts Council of Ireland, NCAD and Fulbright committee, organized two exhibitions plus a two-day symposium at NCAD: Inter-Changes: Craft & Context-Artist-In-Residence, Cill Rilliag, Ballingskellig, County Kerry, Ireland. Directed Research Session: “Fieldwork and Visual Methods in Geography.  Flood Risk: 2 visual artist responses.”Session for “Sinking or Swimming? The Crash, the Crisis and Ireland’s Changing Environment,” Conference of Irish Geographers, NUI Maynooth, County Meath, Ireland.  Gave Artist Lectures at Mason Hayes & Curran Solicitors, Dublin, Ireland, at Crawford College of Art, Cork, Ireland, at the Glass Society of Ireland, NCAD, Dublin, Ireland, and for CGM Faculty  and students, NCAD, Dublin, Ireland.

coldworking areas and created curriculum, research & development of glass techniques;
taught recycled glass, cast glass, fusing and slumping.

After glass artist /SJSU prof. Dr. Robert Fritz died in 1985, Mary was selected to head the glass program, in charge of all art glass related activities at San Jose State University. Worked with undergraduates and graduate students in the Spatial Arts program. Also taught
2D Design and Representational Drawing, Creative Arts Seminar, BA Seminar. As Community Concepts Coordinator, conducted winter and summer Glass Workshops. As Coordinator for SJSU Artists Guild (1996- 2005), sponsored SJSU Glass Artist. Taught weekly kiln forming
glass and kiln casting classes. Consulted on building a hot glass shop and cold shop. Hosted workshop 1994 Oakland GAS conference, hosted 2002 California Glass Exchange and many visiting artists every semester. Visiting Artists Events: Made initial contacts, negotiated fees,
arranged for financing, and coordinated events for visiting artists from around the world. Marvelous vibrant students and Spatial Arts program.  In 1995, a group of SJSU glass students and volunteers started the Bay Area Glass Institute (BAGI) in San Jose, a public access hot glass studio, funding the first new hot glass studio by creating a huge glass pumpkin patch, in exchange for building the SJSU glass studio a new glory hole.
